Ann-Marie Ekbom-Wikstrom was born in Vasteras, Sweden  in 1925. She studied at the Konstfackskolan in Stockholm from 1945 to 1947 and at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris from 1950 to 1953 as well as self-study while traveling in Europe and Africa. Many of her works are on forest interiors and landscapes from southern Europe. She exhibited in her native Sweden as well as in Poland (Gdansk), Spain (Barcelona) and the USA (Los Angeles).
